The Financial Basics Workshops have been designed and developed by Money School Canada with the help of educators, parents and students to provide a solid foundation that helps kids manage their money for the future.
Sessions tackle core personal finance fundamentals like:
making smart money choices - needs, wants, trade-offs and priorities
setting financial goals and how to reach them
introduction to budgeting
types of budgets - balanced, surplus and deficit
interest earnings and charges
borrowing basics
understanding credit scores
Each workshop session is:

The Financial Basics Workshop is offered in a three session format - Financial Goals, Budgeting and Borrowing/ Credit. Programs are available tailored to elementary, middle or high school students. Sessions can be integrated in-class during the regular school day or as an after-school program, subject to demand and the needs of parents and teachers.
